| 1 kg | | pork spare ribs | | | 125 g | | pureed tomatoes, canned | | | 2 Tbs | | honey | | | 2 Tbs | | chilli sauce (hot) | | | 2 Tbs | | hoisin sauce | | | 2 Tbs | | lime juice | | | 2 cloves | | garlic | | | 1 Tbs | | oil | |

| 1 | Cut each spare rib into thirds and lay in a single layer in a shallow ceramic dish. | | 2 | Mix pureed tomatoes, honey, chilli sauce, hoisin sauce, lime juice and garlic together and pour over the ribs. Turn the ribs in the sauce to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. | | 3 | Preheat BBQ grill and brush lightly with oil. Drain the ribs and reserve the marinade for basting. Cook ribs over medium heat for 15 - 20 minutes or until tender and browned. |

| These ribs can also be baked in an oven. If you would like to oven bake this dish, place the ribs on a rack and bake in a moderate oven (180C, 350F) oven for 45 minutes. Remember to baste during cooking. |
